We offer our space at St. John’s to couples who accept the classic understanding of marriage …as our Episcopal Book of Common Prayer provides:
“The union of husband and wife in heart, body, and mind is intended by God for their mutual joy; for the help and comfort given one another in prosperity and adversity; and, when it is God’s will, for the procreation of children and their nurture in the knowledge and love of the Lord. Therefore marriage is not to be entered into unadvisedly or lightly, but reverently, deliberately, and in accordance with the purposes for which it was instituted by God. “

Option A
-An Episcopal (Anglican) wedding conducted by our St. John’s Priest.
-You and your betrothed will meet several times with the priest for counseling.
-Our priest will conduct the rehearsal and perform the wedding ceremony.
Option B
-Supply your own priest or pastor from any Christian denomination to conduct the counseling required by their denomination.
-Perform the wedding ceremony at our location.
Requirements For Having A Wedding At St. John's
You have a valid marriage license issued by the clerk of the court by the time of the wedding.
At least one, either the man or the woman, must be a baptized Christian.
Both must commit to the understanding that marriage is a lifelong covenant.
The wedding ceremony must be Christian.
